Green Island Outfitters is located in the Peace River Valley of Fairview Alberta, Canada. The Peace and Smoky River Valleys and their tributaries as well as the surrounding boreal forest and agricultural country provide tremendous habitat for bears as well as an abundance of other wildlife including moose, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer and waterfowl!



The hunt is conducted from our 4,700 square foot log lodge which has all the modern conveniences including telephone, internet access, hot showers and satellite television. This makes for a very comfortable hunt and a great place to socialize with the other hunters when you are not in the field.

The town of Fairview is nearby, which makes picking up small items that someone may need simple. We also carry a full line of shotgun shells, so it is not necessary to transport heavy and bulky ammunition from home to Canada.

Our waterfowl hunts are three days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday. We start hunting in the middle of September until about the end of October. We shoot Canada Geese in the morning over fields the guides and spotters have previously scouted. We shoot mostly Mallards and Pintails in the afternoon and evening over fields and

Our black hunts are six days in length. All hunts are two hunters per guide. We start the first full week of May and hunt for five weeks. The Peace River area has a very large percentage of color phase bears, which give hunters an excellent opportunity to harvest bears in a color other than black. The bears are hunted over a large geographic area by both Our moose hunts are six days in length. There are two rifle moose seasons in Northern Alberta. The
calling season, which runs September 24th to October 31 st and the late season, which runs from November 1 st to 30th. All hunts are two hunters guide.

Our deer hunts are six full hunting days in length. We generally hunt the second and third weeks of November. We take four hunters per hunt, two hunters per guide. The Peace River country can, and has, produced some tremendous trophy deer.

Our elk hunts are six full hunting days in length. Elk were transplanted into the Peace River country years ago and now the herds have expanded to generate excellent success rates.

Our hunting territory is in the Peace River Region of northern Alberta. Hunters have to fly into Grande Prairie, Alberta and are responsible for their own airfare. Transportation services will be provided to our lodge.

Pricing

Our Black Bear hunts are 6 days and the cost is $4,000.00. A $2,000.00 deposit is required with an additional $2,000.00 due 45 days prior to the hunt. The hunt includes your transportation from Grande Prairie to camp and return. All hunts are 2 hunters per guide. We start the first full week of May and hunt for 5 weeks.
