Why choose Alberta Bush Adventures for your next Alberta hunting trip?

Alberta Bush Adventures is a family run business specializing in moose hunting, black bear hunting, whitetail deer hunting, wolf/coyote hunting and waterfowl hunting including Canada goose hunts and duck hunts. We have been in business for 18 years. We are one of few, less than 5% of the Outfitters in Alberta, that make outfitting our sole livelihood. In 2010 we will celebrate 25 years in the outfitting business. We dedicate a lot of time and effort to give each person a memorable hunting adventure. The high numbers of repeat clients makes us proud to serve you again and again. We hunt hard keeping in mind the hunter's physical condition.

We are fortunate to live in some of Alberta's most game rich areas. Alberta Bush Adventures strives to give each hunter a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Black Bear Hunts in Alberta Canada

Alberta Bush Adventures offers spring and fall black bear hunting. Each season, monster black bears are taken in our camps with the top end in the 7.5 foot plus 500 pound range as well as smaller bears. Our success on our black bear hunts is around 160% as both of our hunting camps have a two bear limit. Our hunting areas produce large bears and boast some of the best colored bears anywhere. An average 25% of the bears range from blond to cinnamon to dark brown. We stress that hunters should try and harvest a quality black bear rather than two small bears.

Baited and spot and stalk black bear hunting hunting can be very exciting and productive. We hunt over active baited stands with permanent tree stands with ground blinds sometimes used. A portable stand may be used to take advantage of a good opportunity at a quality black bear. Length of shots average about 20 to 100 yards for rifle hunters. Black bear bowhunting in Northern Alberta can be quite productive as well. A hunter needs to be patient and selective in order to obtain a quality black bear in the Pope & Young Class. Length of shots average about 15 to 20 yards for bow hunters.

Calling, stalking and still hunting are methods used for moose hunting. Transportation during the moose hunt provided by All terrain vehicles and boats. Length of shots average about 100 yards but some situations can require a 250-300 yard shot.

Whitetail Deer Hunts in Alberta Canada

Alberta whitetail deer are one of the most sought after trophies in North America. The whitetail deer in our Peace River Alberta hunting area have excellent genetics with unlimited quality feed. Our 10 day whitetail deer hunts take place in large tracks of bush & farm country with low hunting pressure which makes for excellent whitetail deer habitat. Rifle and bowhunters have a great opportunity to harvest a real trophy whitetail.

We offer November whitetail deer hunts during the peak of the rut, which is traditionally the best time to hunt whitetail deer. We also offer early season bowhunts in late August and early September. At this time bucks are still in bachelor groups and have predictable feeding patterns. Your chances of harvesting a trophy buck are as good as during the rut. Whitetail deer hunts are done by stand hunting, rattling, grunt calling, still hunting and stalking depending on conditions. It takes patience and and good physical condition to be successful in hunting these trophy whitetails. When they say "They don't get big by being stupid" they must be talking about Alberta Whitetails.

Goose Hunting & Duck Hunting in Alberta Canada

Our Peace River Waterfowl Hunts
We are located in some of the finest farmland in Alberta for Canada goose hunting & duck hunting. Large fields of wheat, barley and peas combined with large lakes and numerous puddle lakes along with three major flyways filtering through this area, make this a waterfowl hunter's paradise.
Late August flocks of white fronted geese, Canada geese and ducks begin to hit wheat and pea fields. By mid September, large flocks of geese, mostly Canada geese, can be seen leaving the lakes in the morning and evening to go out and feed. This migration usually reaches a climax by the end of October.

Our goose hunts take place early in the morning, usually in stubble fields over decoys, with either pit or willow blinds. Although ducks always mix in with the geese, the best duck hunting is usually in the evening. With the right weather, this can be fast shooting which will test everyone's marksmanship. Alberta has a liberal bag limit of 8 ducks and 8 geese per day with double the daily limit as a possession limit. We offer 3 day and 6 day goose hunts and duck hunts.
